The Healing Alliance
Discovering life after trauma
Our Mission
By linking the resources of key recovery organizations and those committed to
healing, The Healing Alliance offers positive options to those whose lives have
been impacted by trauma.
Our Purpose
The Healing Alliance found its beginnings though survivors of clergy abuse –
joined in mutual support through The Linkup. Since awareness of the clergy abuse
has risen to the forefront of the national conscience, many more survivors have
stepped forward to acknowledge and address the pain within their own lives.
As our work continued, survivors of many kinds of trauma came forward and we’ve
been inspired to expand our vision to be a resource in Trauma Recovery and
Nonviolent Communication.
In addition to serving clergy sexual abuse survivors, we serve populations that
have survived the painful traumas of sexual abuse, physical abuse, natural
disasters, accidents and veterans of war. We are dedicated to helping people
heal and reconnect to a meaningful life after the devastation that trauma can
bring.
The Healing Alliance reaches out to trauma survivors in many ways. In meetings
and conferences around the U.S., the Alliance provides information about the
nature of healing trauma. We collaborate with concerned individuals, nonprofit
groups and international organizations.
As an essential ingredient in our growth, The Healing Alliance collaborates with
organizations and individuals who provide healing resources that offer a path
toward recovery for survivors, their families and our community.
